Tire Smoke Rally: Double Fusion is a game developed for Xbox 360 and PS3 in November 2006 by Standing Boulder Visions and published by Envelope Entertainment. It was considered the "leap" the series needed, and was developed with a similar engine to the first game. It added many new modes and cars to the series, and is considered one of the best games of the aforementioned series. The game makes the same graphical choices as the first game, except with more effects and motion blur. It introduced changing weather into the game, as previous games set the weather permanently on each map, but Double Fusion allows the change from rain, snow, and hail.
The game got an average score of 9.75/10, with one review site giving it an 11/10. The game was praised because of its music, effects, neon lighting, and gameplay, but criticized the PS3 version because of severe multiplayer lag (in the first version).
