Personal 700 was an OS released in 2002 as a standalone, pre-installed OS. To download the operating system and replace your current one with it, it costed about $50, up until 2004, where it became $25, and 2006, where it became free. It took up 693 MB of space, which is large, considering that Personal 600 before it only took up 5.76 MB. It came with a lot of free business tools and such. It was a rival of Windows XP, and in the longrun, failed to be as iconic and successful as Windows XP. However, it did sell 700,000 copies, steadily outselling the previous OS.
