The Jersoft Personal 500 was a DOS exclusive OS released in late 1995. It had full 3D capabilities, and was in development for 4 years. In the final months of its development, Jersoft was expected to go bankrupt due to the successful release of Microsoft's Windows 95. Jersoft decided to one-up Windows 95 by allowing DVDs to be played, and having a video editing software called Jersoft Filmstrip bundled with it. The Personal 500 optimized dial-up internet, which was much faster than ConnectBox, which Jersoft had discontinued around the time of Personal 600's release.
